So soon USCIS will come up with argument regarding "Administrative burden" to hire those 1500 and set up training centers and it will take almost 2 years. Again we will hear the reason for further slow down due to this un anticipated work load. After 2 years USCIS will realize the "heavy financial burden" which will also be un anticipated and hence USCIS will come up with fee increase... Cycle will go on and on...

field 11 (have you previously applied for EAD ) there is a column called
"Which USCIS Office" "Date(s)" can some tell me what needs to be filled there? mine was texas center filing.
Also section 16 Eligiblity code is it (c) (9) for both primary applicant as well as spouse (derivative) or different.
Does some one have a mockup sample they can share with others?

I am sure they would do that ...
We are not going there personally...and we are not packing..we are using vendor company to do it. We are not sending bombs or any other stuff which is illegal and crime.

Don't worry, you will be let in after completing 3 years outside of Canada. But don’t wait till the last moment to make your move

If you have been a permanent resident for less than five years then you must show that you will be able to meet the minimum of 730 days physical presence in Canada at the 5-year mark.
When you land in Canada by October 2009, the immigration officer at POE will determine if you would be able to meet the 730 days requirement at the 5-year mark. If so, he will let you in.
Once you're in, make sure that you don't travel outside of Canada even for a single day for the next 2 years, failing which you will loose your PR instantly.
Also make sure to keep records of your ties with Canada from day one (like house rent receipts, utility bills etc..) cuz you might need those while renewing your PR at the end of the fifth year. Good luck!

I was under the impression that there would be some talks about the discussed bills on floor this week.I see no signs of any debate or any discussion.I have some read some posts saying that nothing would happen this year. This really confuses me as I had & I think many of us had hopes that coming weeks would decide something.
I would appreciate if someone could give everyone very clear picture of what going on ?

If you think out-off-box.... guess what? If US-govt wants to give employment-based-green card based on priority date. Then there won�t be any new immigration law in place without clearing Backlog center cases/queue and I140.
So what... As per the labor department web site, the DOL needs another 17/18 months to clear all pending labors.
I guess any new bill to become law will take another 19 to 24 months. Keep your spirit going to support the best immigration-bill.
My 2 cents.

All the threads related to contribution are so dead. It's the hard and sad TRUTH that after so many requests, people don't want to contribute....moreover they are fighting with each other. BRAVO skilled immigrants. If only 'some miracle' happens, people might consider contributing.
Today I need to travel back to India for emergency reason. I had a ticket available, but could not start since I need to book appointment for visa stamping. It will take at least 3 more days. I wish I had AP. I know everybody living here has to go through this some time in their lives, they can not be with their loved ones when it's warranted.

I was told that "amending" H1B is the same as applying for a new H1B. Does this mean that I will get a new 797 approval and I would have to get a new stamping on my passport? I just got my passport stamped with a 3 year extension till 2009. I don't want to go thru that again if I can avoid it.

DOL claimed that the newspaper ad was sent to them without the date of it. So we sent them back the whole paper-page where the date is usually printed at the very top with my job ad on it.

I have taken screenshots of Job Order, Yahoo HotJobs, Professional Organization, University Placement etc. I hope the screenshots showing the ad and all the dates would be good enough.

And depending on your luck/contacts/influence you might even extract an EB-1A out of them and get your GC in 6-9 months.
